Will My Home Phone Work on the NBN®?
Updated over a month ago

Short answer: Probably, but with a few tweaks!

So, you're wondering if your trusty landline will still work once you make the switch to the NBN®? We’ve got you covered.

Here's the tea:

When the NBN® rolls into town, the old copper network is put on a countdown timer – 18 months to retirement, to be exact. This means most Australians will need to migrate their home phones to the NBN®. But fear not! You can keep your existing home phone number by porting it to one of our NBN® home phone plans.

All you'll need is a quick setup:

  1. Plug your phone handset into your shiny new NBN® modem.

  2. Depending on your NBN® tech type (e.g., FTTP, FTTN), you might still use the existing copper line for your landline.

Not sure which setup applies to you? No worries, give us a shout, and we’ll sort it out faster than you can say "copper connection."
